  1. There is no long historical tradition of Polish-Romanian cooperation. But there is one thing that, in my opinion, had some influence on Poland’s existence. The story takes place in 1920. The Polish-Bolshevik War. Poland is fighting, but ammunition is scarce. Hungary sends all its ammunition production to Poland. Unfortunately, there is no way to transport it. Finally, Romania agrees to the transport, which allows the Polish army to finally accept and strike and launch a counterattack in the back of Marshal Tukhachevsky’s army…..

    1. The original article topic is not about PO-RO cooperation, it is more more about the methods used by Soviets to purge the military of occupied countries and the author makes a (far-fetched) analogy with Katyn.

Re the PO-RO cooperation , one should be careful to make a distinction between the official sources (which were rewritten several times during the Soviet/communist occupation) and the diplomatic dossiers which keep a more accurate record of fgacts and people. One good example is the well-known story of the Polish treasury that was evacuated via RO with help from the goverment even thought the goverment orientation at that time was towards another political direction. This way, Poland was able to get back its tresury after WWII.
We cannot say the same about the RO treasury which was evacuated to Russia during the WWI German occupation. We still did not get it back!
